He attended school at Front Range Community College, Metropolitan State University of Denver and the University of Colorado, Boulder He has been married to his best buddy Michaela since 1992 and in 2005 became father to his other best buddy, daughter Lily. Professionally, Eric worked with adult homeless recovery at the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless, adolescent treatment at the Mental Health Center and Saint Vrain Valley School District’s joint Summit Adolescent Treatment Program and with Boulder County Housing and Human Services, as both an adolescent & family case manager and then the Director of Volunteer Services. In 2002 Eric founded his first non-profit program, Sage Community Partnership, and opened the doors of SCP’s Polaris House Transitional Living Program for teens aging out of the foster care system.

After endless hours of caffeine, envisioning best practices of service and a large dose of ‘what am I waiting for’ forehead slapping with his friend Craig Secher, founder and President of Realities for Children in Larimer County, Eric opened the doors of Realities for Children Boulder County in May of 2012. He is a very happy camper…
